Crops for the
Louisa County Fair Youth Center
Farmers interested in supporting the new Youth
Center at the Louisa County Fairgrounds have convenient way to do so
that will benefit the project now and the farmer at tax time.
Arrangements have been made at Farmers Elevator in Wapello and Bieri
Grain in Letts for farmers to donate corn and soy beans to support the
project. Farmers simply designate a load of grain to be sold to benefit
the youth center, the elevator sends a check to the project and a
receipt is issued to farmer to claim the donation when preparing their
taxes. Crops for the Louisa County Fair Youth Center is a way for
area farm families to support a project that will benefit the
agricultural community especially in terms of youth education and
leadership development.
Construction of the Youth Center began in August
and it is expected to be completed by next summer. The 7,680 square foot
facility will be used for meetings, workshops, competitions, fair
displays and social gatherings. For more information about the Crops
for the Louisa County Fair Youth Center program or the project
